Fitness Levels Decline After 45
In a report published in the Archives Of Internal Medicine titled "
Role of Lifestyle and Aging on the Longitudinal Change in Cardiorespiratory Fitness
", it is stated that the decline in fitness levels accelerate after the age of 45.
However, the longitudinal study also shows that the decline in fitness level can be slowed by
maintaining a healthy
Body Mass Index (BMI)
not smoking
and
being physically active
